Boardman Fire Station No. 73

Boardman Fire Station No. 73 • Boardman, Ohio

This 2004 project included renovations and a 3,000 square foot addition to a 40-year-old neighborhood fire station. The three-bunk, dormitory-style sleeping quarters were changed to six private bunkrooms with shared private restrooms. To improve response time, the traffic pattern was altered from the living quarters to the apparatus area. A new access/security control system was  installed to automate doors, lighting and gas shut off. The cost of the project was $400,000.
